Daily Scriptures 3/16/17

Scriptures: Jeremiah 18:4-6 4But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over. 5Then the LORD gave me this message: 6“O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand. (NLT)

Nugget: In the verses prior to these, God instructed Jeremiah to go to the potter’s house & that God would speak to Jeremiah again there. Upon arrival, Jeremiah found the potter at work, but the jar the potter made did not turn out as planned; thus, the potter crushed it & started over.

God let Jeremiah know that we’re in His hands & He has the ability to do the same for & with us. After all, we are God’s creations & He had plans for us before we were in our mothers’ wombs. There nothing we can do that will get is so far away from God that He wouldn’t be there for us; even in our ‘mess’, He wants to make us a message for Him. Even when we stray, He always has a way of finding us (God’s GPS system is the best!).

Yes, God broke each mold when each of us were created, but He has the power to recreate each mold! Making designer’s originals every time!

Quote: “The Potter’s hands mend many broken things. Broken things can become blessed things if you let God do the mending.” -Unknown
