In The Midst of Silence

Happy October!!! It’s my favorite month & time of the year!!!

My apologies for my mini-hiatus from my blog. I’ve been regrouping & focusing on my relationship with God & the things that He wants me to do, as well as the things that He’s working to develop in me.

One of the biggest lessons that I’ve learned in the past few months is that God works in silence. You may wonder what I mean by this—-it’s that He’s working in the midst of the times when we feel that He doesn’t hear us, He’s working in the midst of the times where there appears to be “nothing happening”, He’s working when we’re praying & feeling like He’s not providing an answer. Believe me, I know because I’ve been praying on some things for a while now, & just when it looked like I was at the end of whatever rope I was hanging on to, God showed up!

For instance, for the past few years I’ve been going through the most challenging times I’ve faced in a long time—both personally & professionally. I’d been praying for a change, but God had kept me in the same places in some instances. When I got to the point where I “let go & let God”, He answered in a way that I wasn’t expecting, well at least at that time: He blessed me with a promotion. I wasn’t looking for this, mainly due to budget cuts & other occurrences that had gone on. But in the midst of the budget cuts & no new hiring, God showed up. This is exactly how He works; He showed Himself in an “impossible” situation and made things possible.

There are probably many things that you’re praying on where you feel that God cannot hear you or is not answering your prayers. Our God is a God who works, listens, & blesses beyond circumstances & what we can see. He works things out in the silence, He works in the background, & can move some things around that we could never imagine.

Don’t think that God isn’t hearing your prayer, your struggle, your challenges, & so much more. Our God can do all things—-one of them being working & moving in the most silent times of our lives.

Believe in Him & trust Him completely.

Until next time.

Blessings,
