Scripture: Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever. (NKJV)
Nugget: The 23rd Psalm is one that most of us know by heart; it’s the one that is the “go to” Psalm for many occasions & circumstances. It has become so common to many, that reciting it can become routine rather than us paying attention to what it’s saying.
A good friend reminded me of the importance of this Psalm. There are various things I’ve been facing in the past year & my friend gave me this particular verse as a reminder of God & what He can & will do.
As a child of God, surely goodness & mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. God didn’t say that goodness “may” follow me or that it’ll be for “some” days, he said surely & all the days of my life. Now that’s a God promise for sure!
Take time today to really read the 23rd Psalm, not recite it, but to read it in detail. There’s so much in these words regarding God & the promises He’s made to us.
Walk in His assurance today & always.
