Scripture: Micah 6:8 The LORD has told you, human, what is good; he has told you what he wants from you: to do what is right to other people, love being kind to others, and live humbly, obeying your God. (NCV)
Nugget: In reviewing this scripture, I’m reminded of what God seeks from us. Most times, we’re seeking so much from Him, that we lose focus on what He requires of us. God asks us to do what is right, live & to love others, & lastly, to obey Him.
How many times do we take the necessary steps to reach out to other people? To let them know that we love them, are here for them, & to live the lives that God requires of us? Are we too caught up in our own lives that we forget the importance of acts of kindness & acts of obedience to God?
One of my favorite quotes is, “Treat others like you want to be treated.” I do my best to live this way; sometimes, putting ourselves in someone else’s shoes goes a long way!
What acts can you take today to obey God in this manner?
Quote: “Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.” -Og Mandino
