Scriptures: II Timothy 2:23-24 23 Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. 24 A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. (New Living Translation)
Nugget: Yes, one of the hardest things to do is to get along with difficult people!! I know this through my jobs!! And, at times, dealing with family, friends, etc. The thing we must remember is that most of the time, the type of arguments produced from encounters with these people end up containing some sort of foolishness & waste of time.
“Pick your battles” is what the older generation has taught us; “Learn to walk away”. Take on a servant’s attitude. Not saying that this will be the case every time, but it will help in the long run to avoid a lot of useless conversations/encounters.
