Daily Scriptures 8/19/10

Scripture: Psalm 119:165 Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble. (NIV)

Nugget: The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines peace as: “a state of tranquility or quiet” and “freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts or emotions.” These definitions remind me of the things that we allow to take peace from our lives: stress, work, people, etc. Imagine the true peace that comes from trusting in God & what His word says.

The scripture notes, “nothing can make them stumble.” NOTHING, not some things, but nothing can make them stumble whose love is in God’s law. What are you allowing to make you stumble? What’s taking your focus? Your peace?

Don’t give away the peace that comes with God!! Take it back & stand firm!!

Quote: “Peace is the deliberate adjustment of my life to the will of God.” -Unknown
