Scriptures: Mark 10:13-15 13People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” (NIV)
Nugget: These scriptures note Jesus’ reaction to people bringing little children to Him in spite of the disciples rebuking the actions of the people. Jesus wanted the children to come, knowing their actions & love were pure & from the heart.
Children are truly a blessing & viewing the world through their eyes is a gift. These scriptures are a reminder that we, too, must take on the childlike attitude & actions in our relationship with the Lord. Too often we are jaded & doubtful, but children, these thoughts are far from their minds.
Just imagine how it would be to have the heart of a child & love Jesus the way that they do—reminds me of the children’s song, “Jesus Loves Me”.
