Nugget: Living in peace takes work—no matter what anyone says! The human in all of us would love to retaliate on those who have done us wrong, but the Jesus in us seeks to strive for peace. This is why the ongoing battle continues!
As we grow in Christ, we decrease & He increases; we want to be more like Him, aim to be more like Him, & try to behave as He would. These actions continue to move us toward Jesus & the peace that comes with Him.
As the scripture states, “Do your best”, allow Jesus to do the rest. The Jesus in you is more powerful than the “you” in yourself.
