Daily Scriptures 10/10/11

Scriptures: Proverbs 6:20-21 20My son, obey your father’s commands, and don’t neglect your mother’s instruction. 21Keep their words always in your heart. Tie them around your neck. (NLT)

Nugget: There are many things that we’ve learned that only our parent(s) (or parental figures) could teach us. These are lessons & words of wisdom that many of us continue to carry with us today.

Parents usually have our best interests at heart; during the times they were sharing these wise words with us, we mostly likely didn’t want to hear them. But, these same words have so much meaning & understanding now.

What words do you continue to carry with you today? Thanking God for the parents & loved ones who have shaped our lives (& continue to do so).

Quote: “Each day of our lives we make deposits in the memory banks of our children.”-Charles R. Swindoll
