Scripture: Romans 16:20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. (NIV)
Nugget: Paul was speaking to the Romans in this scripture & in the proceeding scriptures of this chapter. He was reminding them of their obedience to God & being wise in the things that concerned them—this included focusing on what was good & being mindful of the things that were evil.
Our obedience to God will carry us a long way—this combined with our faith is what allows the peace of God to crush the devil under our feet! Most times, we give too much power to the devil (& to our own thoughts), rather than focusing on the power we have in God & because of Him.
What peace are you giving away? What power do you need to take back? Allow God’s grace & strength to be your guide. The devil only has the power that you give over to him.
