Scripture: James 4:15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” (NKJV)
Nugget: Ironically, I mention the saying, “Lord willing” on a regular basis. Little did I know this saying was referenced in the Bible. (I’ve always heard that there’s nothing new under the sun & everything is in the Bible, so I don’t know why I’m surprised!)
There’s so much that we take for granted. Many times, we assume that the next moment, day, week, or month are guaranteed, but they aren’t. It’s only if God wills them to be that this is so. How many times do we automatically think that we’ll “Do something tomorrow”? But what if tomorrow never comes?
We must do everything in the Lord’s will; knowing that what He wills to happen will happen, but not to take the gifts that He’s given us for granted, for the time we have is a precious commodity.
Quote: “There are no ‘if’s’ in God’s world. And no places that are safer than other places. The center of His will is our only safety – let us pray that we may always know it!” -Corrie ten Boom

Great post, Lisi! As I grow in my walk with the Lord, I am coming to realize that we must take advantage of the here and now, as tomorrow is not promised. Blessings!
