Daily Scriptures 10/1/13

Scriptures: Isaiah 49:1&5 1Listen to me, you islands; hear this, you distant nations: Before I was born the LORD called me; from my mother’s womb he has spoken my name. 5And now the LORD says— he who formed me in the womb to be his servant to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel to himself, for I am honored in the eyes of the LORD and my God has been my strength (NIV)

Nugget: Sometimes I think we take for granted, or overlook, God’s hand in our lives; meaning, do we think back to how God has had his hands on us from the beginning? Way before we were a thought to our parents, we were a thought to God. Before we were born, God already knew what He had in store for us. If God knew what He was going to do back then, then He definitely knows His plans for us today.

God formed us to be His servants, a representation of Him, & we are His children; God will not let us down. God is our strength & He has called us according to His purpose. Don’t take for granted who God has formed you to be (& to become); take solace in Him, knowing the strength we have in Him.

Quote: “The purpose of our life is to pursue God. It is what we were created to do. God wants us to seek and long passionately in His presence. His presence is real and tangible. It will change our lives completely.” -From http://www.intercessorsarise.org/Intercessors_Arise/Pursuing_Gods_Presence.html
