Daily Scriptures 9/22/16

Scripture: Daniel 10:12 Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. (NKJV)

Nugget: God is always there & is the same God He was back then; from generation to generation & century to century, He’s remained consistent. The changing aspect of our relationships with God is us! We’re consistently learning & growing, we go from babes in Christ to children to adults, etc. (& in some instances, we may repeat a few steps in the growth process!)

In this scripture, Daniel had to not only open his mind but his heart to understanding God & His will in order to be heard. It wasn’t that God was absent, it was that Daniel wasn’t open—once this occurred, God’s presence became known.

How many times have we been blind to what’s right in front of us? Whether it be God trying to get our attention & we missing the neon lights that He’s shining, or even that love who’s been present that we chose to ignore. God is waiting for our hearts & minds to open to understanding—He’s waiting to step in, if we would recognize Him.

Quote: “Some people complain they don’t feel God’s presence in their lives. The truth is, God manifests Himself to us every day. We just fail to recognize Him.” –QuotesEmpire.com
