Mindset and Healing

A healing journey is one that’s continuous and growing.  From one lesson to the next, there’s growth that occurs if we are truly paying attention.  There are times in which we can get caught up in the hurt or pain where we don’t recognize that our mindset also plays a role in our healing process.

There have been recent occurrences in my life where I’ve both identified how far I’ve come while recognizing I have healing that’s still in process.  In this, what I did not fully recognize is the role my mindset plays in the “still in process” portion of the journey.  In other words, aspects of my mindset and thought process that can be valid, yet a hindrance if I do not acknowledge, reflect, and apply the right tools to avoid disrupting my continual healing journey.

What is something that this will entail?  Renewing my mind daily; sometimes more often than this.  This will never be a one-time thing.  The following Bible verse spoke to me:

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. –Romans 12:2 NKJV

Renewing also requires a release.  The release and submission to God’s will rather than conforming to what I’m accustomed to in my comfort zone.  The release also includes the requirements of acknowledging how far I’ve come in addition to the processes it will take to move forward accordingly.

As we journey into progressive healing, let us keep our mindsets in check.  Regardless of where we’ve come from and what we are facing, mindsets are a pivotal role in healing.

Keep renewing the mind; don’t let it be the reason healing is stagnant.

Until next time.

Blessings,
