Scripture: Jeremiah 17:20 “I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” (NIV)
Nugget: Many of us have heard people say, “God knows my heart!” Most times, this saying is not necessarily due to an action that had good intentions. In my experiences, people have used it when they were “doing something wrong” or something they definitely knew was not in line with God.
The Lord “searches the heart & examines the mind”; if he searched your heart & examined your mind what would He find? Would your thoughts & feelings be in line with Him? Or are there areas for improvement? God does know our hearts, but He also knows when we’re taking steps & actions to be better & to do better.
Let us work towards lining up with God; allow Him to reward us for our conduct that aligns with being who He’s called us to be.
