Faith Tested

Have you ever had so much going on that you wondered what God was up to? You’ve prayed your prayers, read your Bible, & even have your favorite Scriptures memorized to help you along the way, but still you wonder what is going on? Well, needless to say, that’s how I’ve felt lately.

For certain, a lot is happening. I feel that last year’s challenging year is carrying over into 2013 far too long. However, my heart knows that God is working on something big for me. Part of that something is knowing in the midst of these tests & trials, there is a TESTIMONY to come. But does it take all of this to get there? LOL. Sometimes, it just may.

I’ve had people ask me “How are you doing?” in the past few months. I can tell you, it’s one of the hardest questions that I’ve had to answer in recent months. The true answer is one that’s hard to formulate, when there’s so much happening, but I’m so grateful for the true family & friends that God has placed in my life. I’ve learned about those who are by my side no matter what.

I’m learning more & more about the saying, “God doesn’t put more on you than what you can bear.” He does this to test us, to bring something out of us, to develop something in us, & to remind us that He’s in complete control. Most times, our faith isn’t where we truly believe it to be (it’s easier to trust God when things are going good). Also, maybe God wants to take us to the next level, but getting there means experiencing the things that are uncomfortable, challenging, & downright heartbreaking. BUT GOD is always there.

I’m praying for the shift to the next thing He has for me. In the meantime, I must experience these challenging times in order to get there. Continued strength & guidance from Him will get me there; also, having the right people around me who have my back no matter what. In the midst of it all, no matter what, I’m blessed & will remain so.

May we continue to encourage each other & pray for each other during our challenging times as we do during our triumphs.

1I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? 2My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. -Psalm 121:1-2 (NIV)

Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. -Psalm 27:14 (NIV)

2My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. -James 1:2-3 (NKJV)

Until next time.

Blessings,
